Follow Friday: June 3, 2011



Today I am delighted to be the FEATURED BLOGGER at Parajunkee.com.  Parajunkee is the best, and no, her real name is not "Parajunkee." By the way, if you want a snazzy blog or website, Parajunkee's your gal.  She even offers discounted rates to authors and book bloggers.

This week's question is: What are you doing to prepare for an upcoming zombie apocalypse and/or the return of Mel Gibson to the silver screen? (Both of which could be terrifying.) 

Personally, I am following CDC's Guidelines on how to survive a zombie apocalypse.  I'm grateful for the CDC's work in this serious matter.  Truly.  I mean, now that the experts are advising me, I don't have to listen to silly teen conspiracy theorists any long. 


As for Mel Gibson's return to the silver screen...I don't think anyone can quite prepare for that.  We can only hope and pray it doesn't happen.  Maybe we can get the CDC involved.  Or conspiracy theorist.  Didn't Mel Gibson play a conspiracy theorist in a movie?  Weird.

I'm guessing my massive collection of books would be of limited value for fending them off, but I suppose I could build a fort with them.

    For those of you who like the bird design--thanks! I love birds, even own a cockatiel. I always thought they were cool. I especially like hawks; they're like sentries on lamp posts and power lines as I go about my day.

    On the Zombie Apocalypse & Mel Gibson & Axes--Remember Mel Gibson in THE PATRIOT? He was all mighty wielding his ax--maybe we shouldn't feed him to the zombies. Or we can get Sully from "Dr. Quinn: Medicine Woman" to ax 'em. It's a thought, except they're fictional characters and the zombie apocalypse is REAL, even the CDC says so.

I'm feeling the same way about Mel Gibson too - I used to have a lot of respect for the guy and loved all of his movies but he's just kinda crazy now. Let's hope he doesn't turn into a zombie, he'd be even more intolerable!
